Dr. Rosoff has been in private practice as a clinical psychologist for over 20 years. She completed her doctoral work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and did her formal clinical training there and at Northwestern University Medical Center in Chicago. She has been with the Green House Group since 1993.
Ann works with individual adults and couples, and supervises other clinicians. She uses a set of techniques that draw from psychoanalytic, cognitive and family systems theories, as well as from research into trauma and recovery, attachment and normal development. She is an EMDRIA Certified Consultant, and is skilled at integrating EMDR into treatment when indicated. The goals of her psychotherapy or couples therapy will vary according to each person's needs and challenges, but may include helping people to:
Move beyond the destructive impact of overwhelming negative childhood or adult experiences, including trauma and abuse;
Enhance effective coping, self-protection, and psychological growth during stressful life transitions such as divorce, loss or illness;
Resolve relationship problems and learn to function better within a family or relationship setting;
Learn to cope successfully with emotional challenges like depression and anxiety.
Ann is a member of the EMDR International Association, NESTTD (New England Society for Treatment of Trauma and Dissociation), and ISTSS (International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies). She accepts a limited number of insurances, including Anthem and Aetna as an in-network provider, and those plans that allow for out-of-network benefits.
