Zachary Delcambre, Psy.D.
Dr. Zachary Delcambre graduated from William James College in 2016 and joined the Green
House Group in 2017. He has worked in community mental health centers, elementary schools,
private practice, and at the Roger Williams University counseling center for several years.
Zach’s counseling focus includes working with adolescents and adults with a wide variety of
concerns, including mood disorders, depression, trauma, and relational problems.
Dr. Delcambre’s utilizes a psychodynamic approach, helping people understand their feelings,
conflicts and motivations, and also using skills such as cognitive therapy, motivational
interviewing for behavioral change, and mindfulness, among others to assist or resolve these
issues.
Dr. Delcambre also speaks fluent Spanish and offers counseling and psychological evaluations
for Spanish speaking youth and adults.

Zachary Delcambre, PsyD is a licensed psychologist who provides a range of clinical services including therapeutic interventions as well as psychological and neuropsychological assessments.  Dr. Delcambre earned his Doctor of Psychology degree, with a concentration in Latino mental health, as well as a Master of Arts in Professional Psychology at William James College. Dr. Delcambre also focused his training to include extensive coursework to better his delivery of clinical services to veteran and military families.  Dr. Delcambre joined the Green House Group in 2017.


Therapeutically, Dr. Delcambre works with adolescents and adults covering a wide variety of clinical issues.  Some examples include family issues, relational problems, depression, anxiety, anger, and self-esteem. Dr. Delcambre strives to provide a safe therapeutic environment to help his clients feel empowered to explore their emotions and important relationships. Dr. Delcambre also focuses on issues related to masculinity and how views on men shape their lives in both helpful and hurtful ways as well as how ideas on masculinity affect the lives of others. Through this exploration, Dr. Delcambre helps his client increase their insight and works with them collaboratively to find solutions that address the client’s individual needs.


Dr. Delcambre also provides psychological and neuropsychological testing services for children, adolescents, and adults ages six and up.  His experience includes hundreds of assessment batteries that have provided his patients with a deeper understanding of their cognitive as well as emotional processes.  Dr. Delcambre also offers testing evaluations and consultation in Spanish as he is cognizant of how cultural issues can affect how Spanish-speakers are able to navigate everyday situations.


Additionally, Dr. Delcambre has spent a significant portion of his career focusing on issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community as well as how gender and race can play a pivotal role in an individual’s life and wellbeing.  Dr. Delcambre’s approach takes into considerations how all these identities shape a person as well as the person’s view of the world and the way the world views them. Overall, it is Dr. Delcambre goal to create an empathic place for people to share all aspects of who they are.
