Rene Ouellet, LICSW

Mr. Rene Ouellet, LICSW, has been helping children, teens, young adults, adults, couples and families to overcome life's difficulties for over thirty years.

Rene provides indiviudal and family therapy for a wide range of the difficulties of childhood and adoelscence.  He attemps to pull all the family's resources into the treatment and empower them to be part of the successful change.


He also works wtih young adults dealing with issues of leaving home as well as the other challenges that come with the age, including relationships and the aftermath of previous life difficulties.  He also assists couples and individuals working with relationship issues.  He is experienced with helping families in irreconcilable situations and resolving the aftermath of divorce.

Rene's work draws from a range of therapeutic approaches that reflect his education, training and experience with psychodynamic, family systems, time effective/solution focused, cognitive, and motivational approaches.  He is versed in individual, family, couples, group and play therapy.


Rene received a Master's of Social Work degree from Smith College School of Social Work in 1981.  He also completed a two-year training program in Advanced Family Therapy and a yearlong traning program in Time Effective treatment.


Rene is an adjunct faculty member at the University of New Hampshire's School for Social Work in the Master's Degree program and has also taught undergraduate courses at UNH and Granite State College.  He has presented at conferences on topics related to helping clients to overcome the hurdles that block change in their lives.  He provides consultation and training for the NH Division for Children, Youth and Families and the NH Division of Mental Health, school districts, community mental health centers, child care centers and residential centers throughout New Hampshire.
